‘The Snow Girl’ became a success from its premiere and broke all the platform’s records as the best premiere of a Spanish series since the audience data is made public. With this presentation, it is not surprising that the series will continue with the second part of the literary saga written by Javier Castillo, ‘El juego del alma’. The phenomenon of The Snow Girl on Netflix reached the global top 1 of the most watched non-English-speaking series in its opening week and was in the Top 10 of 77 countries for several weeks, including number 1 in countries like Spain, France, Sweden or Belgium among many others.

The new series features the same protagonist Miren, played by Milena Smit, and follows her footsteps in the investigation of a new case. Although the final cast is unknown at the moment, we will see some of the protagonists of ‘The Snow Girl’ again.

Besides, the platform will adapt another novel by the writer Javier Castillo, ‘El cuco de cristal’. This is the latest title from the Malaga native that since its launch in February has sold almost 100,000 copies in Spanish in all formats.

The third project announced by Netflix is ​​also based on a best-selling novel by Mikel Santiago. ‘Last night in Tremore Beach’ is the title of the new miniseries that will be directed by Oriol Paulo (‘The innocent’). The fiction will star Javier Rey (‘Hache’) and Ana Polvorosa (‘Las chicas del cable’). “I am very happy to repeat with Netflix after the great experience of El Inocente, creating a new series based on this magnetic novel by Mikel Santiago and accompanied by an exceptional cast. I am looking forward to sharing this exciting story with the public”, explained Paulo.

The project It will start shooting soon in Spain and will be produced by Sandra Hermida, Jesús de la Vega, Belén Atienza from Sospecha Films and Eneko Lizarraga from Think Studio.
