George Russell is not happy for his fourth place in the Drivers’ World Championship in 2022. The Englishman has completed his first course at Mercedes, beating Lewis Hamilton, but he wants something more. He wants a lot more. Because what Russell is looking for is to win.
“I’m not proud of being fourth. I’m here to win, and We need to raise the bar,” he says on the ‘BBC’.
And he continues: “We are all here to win. You have to look ahead and make the car faster. In that sense It’s been a good year for me.”
Because he has beaten Hamilton: “It doesn’t matter who your partner is. The key is trust the structure and adapt when there is a change of team”.
“Hamilton? He’s the greatest of all time. I learned a lot from him and I am privileged to measure myself against him”, says Russell.
In that sense, send a message to Mercedes: “We are after Red Bull and Ferrari. We have work to reduce the gap. The positive is that we will be strong in 2023.”
“I’m here for the long term… but I would have liked to win races and fight for the title. I hope to look back in the future and say that in 2022 there was a positive year”, judgment.
