The Volkswagen Transporter T6.1 undergoes the specialist Irmscher treatment, which makes it a more interesting camper vehicle.
The German tuning professionals from Irmscher This time they have been in charge of transforming one of the most popular campers, the Volkswagen T6.1 in a more than interesting vehicle… and not only externally. And they have given it an aspect of death. In the process, the Irmscher van systems department not only got to work on the look of the Bulli, but also installed a camping module.
In terms of aesthetics, what first attracts attention, apart from the olive green color of the model, are the new “Cross Star” rims in matt blackwhich harmonize with off-road tires.

The rims are complemented by a front guard, oval stainless steel side pipes, bonnet, radiator grille and front and side trims also in matt black that contrast with the aforementioned olive green color of the bodywork.
This Irmscher Volkswagen Transporter T6.1 becomes a motorhome thanks to the optional pop-up roof and the proven i-Box, which the preparer has already used in other vehicles, such as the Opel Vivaro. The modular furniture is like most camping boxes and it is enough to install and disassemble it to convert the vehicle of daily use into a motorhome. According to Irmscher, the conversion takes 10 minutes.

The camping module is equipped with a gas cooker with two cooking surfaces, a folding sink that includes a 25-litre fresh water canister, a compressor fridge, as well as several practical drawers and a work surface. The faucet acts as an outdoor shower. Depending on the manufacturer, the various components can be disassembled and used separately.
Of course, the i-Box also provides a place to sleep. Once the bench seat is folded down, the upholstered construction can be mounted on top. two people can sleep there and the tuning van becomes a four-seater with the aforementioned pop-up roof.
Irmscher does not allude to the full price of the preparation, although since the transformation can be done from modular packages, the rate can range between 2,000 and 9,500 euros.
