“When I saw it I was like… wow, hats off to me”

Red Bull has created a masterpiece. He has made one of the most complete cars, one of the best in memory, in the entire history of Formula 1. At the level of the mythical Ferrariof Michael Schumacher, or of the Mercedes ofLewis Hamilton.Up there with that McLaren, McLaren-Slingwho did real magic on the track thanks to Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost.

Because they have no rival. Nobody, except for a mechanical problem, is or has been able to stand up to max verstappen or Sergio Perez. Nobody has made it. And the battle for the World Cup, like those between Hamilton and Rosberg, seems like a teammate thing.

How would the rest be able to say the same. How they would love to be the ones in their place. They have tried. In winter first, and now, seeing the big difference studying in depth the soil of RB19. It was exposed in Monaco… but they couldn’t, or they have not known, replicate it.

Faced with such a masterpiece, others have no choice but to surrender. In Ferrari, same, and also in McLaren. Andrea Stella, one of the big names of the Alonso era in the decade from 2011 to 2020 and current team manager, is clear about it.

“It is a sample of complexity and quality”

“I have dedicated part of my time to analyzing the soil of the RB19, and surely the 100 McLaren aerodynamicists they have done the same… It’s very interesting,” he says.

And he continues: “It is a sample of the complexity and the quality of its innovation”.

“I saw it and said… wow. I take my hat off to what they have done at Red Bull. Now it is better understood that they have achieved the performance they have”, he insists in words that are collected in ‘Motorsport’.

At the moment, six victories in six races with an overwhelming difference. Four have been for Max Verstappen; two, for Sergio Pérez. Except for the Mexican’s problems, only the second or third step of each podium has remained available.
