nissan ariya has achieved the maximum rating of five stars and achieves a Weighted General Index of 9.6 in Green NCAPan independent initiative that aims to highlight the work of producers who go beyond the minimum sustainability requirements, causing minimal damage to the environment.
The rigorous testing process of Green NCAP takes a detailed look at all aspects of a car’s sustainability credentials. The evaluation consists of three sections: clean air, energy efficiency and greenhouse gas tests; these tests are used to calculate the overall score of a model.
Not having an exhaust pipe Nissan Ariya achieved a 10/10 in the Clean Air Index test. This included the highest scores in laboratory and road tests, both of which serve as the basis for calculating the Clean Air Index. Additionally, scores of 9.3/10 and 9.5/10 were recorded in the Energy Efficiency Index and Greenhouse Gas Index sections of the rating, respectively.
The road test was carried out in cold weather at -1° C and the consumption of the crossover was approximately 24 kWh / 100 km. The usable battery capacity measured by Green NCAP is 89.6 kWh, which is higher than the officially declared value. When charged with 11 kW, the overall efficiency is 91.6% of the power drawn from the electrical grid. This represents “the highest value measured by Green NCAP to date” according to a citation in the Green NCAP report.
