After the doubts you had lewis hamilton about his continuity in 2021, when he lost the Formula 1 World Cup against max verstappen in the last lap of the last race, now there are none left. The seven-time world champion wants to continue and he wants to do it to win.
Everything indicates that it will be in Mercedes. His renewal would be very close, as he has pointed out Toto Wolff in the preview of the Canadian Grand Prix.
Lewis has spoken directly of “win back”. Like this it has been pronounced in ‘Sky’: “I still have a lot of desire to win. I’m willing to sacrifice anything To get back to where I need to be That has not changed…”.
“I have to prove myself every weekend and show what I can do. I’ve been doing this for a long time and I still feel very connected to the whole thing,” detailed the teammate. George Russell in the team of the silver arrows.
Both got on the podium at the Spanish Grand Prix, in Barcelona. They were placed behind Max Verstappen’s Red Bull. Of course, still far. Nobody is capable of ‘coughing up’ the Dutch. At least for now.
But the step forward that Mercedes has taken has been very important. They left behind Aston Martin and Fernando Alonso. Also to the Ferraris, who are experiencing an ordeal in this 2023 far from victories and also from the podium. And Hamilton talks about “winning” again. Anything can happen in Formula 1.
