Pedro Acosta a date is set to pilot in MotoGP. One of the greatest talents in Spanish motorcycling has revealed his plan to race in the premier class. And there isn’t much left, because according to those plans it would be from 2024.
The driver revealed it after the Italian Grand Prix this weekend: “It is true that there is a deadline at the end of the month, but that’s what I’ve been saying for two months. If it hasn’t been clear in two months… it’s starting to get difficult. My main target is KTM.”
“There are many options, both to get on and to stay. It is clear that staying is the one I like the least, but I am also considering it. As I always say, KTM is the one that gave me the opportunity to get on and the one that it pushed me up, so I think that this path is the best for my career”, comments the driver.
What depends on getting to this situation. “It depends on both parties. If I want to go up and there is no room, there is no room. Spot. Miracles cannot be done. Like if they want me to come up and I’m not ready, I’m not. We are in the same”, Acosta details.
And sentence: “These are decisions that we have to take jointly and try to avoid mistakes. I think they have a lot of people behind them to make these decisions and I think they’ll do it well.”
Acosta is second in the Moto2 World Championship after his victory in Italy. ahead has Tony Arbolino, only 20 points. A salvageable difference before reaching the middle of the competition.
