One of the most enjoyable cars going fast and, at the same time, usable on a day-to-day basis is the Porsche 718 Cayman, a highly recommended two-seater sports car. If, in addition, your thing is to attract attention, those from Stuttgart have just presented the Porsche 718 Cayman Style Edition, with many differentiating touches from the rest of the range. It is available for 77,677 euros, about 2,000 euros less than the 718 Boxster (its convertible version), with the same finish.
The body can be chosen in different tones, with 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels in glossy black, in which the hubs are covered with the colored Porsche shield. The sports exhaust outlets are in black and the brand name in silver at the rear. Also, there are two packages 718 Style Edition with contrasting elements, one white and one black. They add decorative stripes on the front hood the word porsche and high-gloss white or black paint for the rims.
Inside, the Porsche 718 Cayman Style Edition features black leather upholstery with chalk contrast stitching, illuminated stainless steel door sill panels or the Porsche Crest on the headrests.
To all this is added a complete standard equipment, with bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, front and rear ParkAssist with rear view camera, Apple CarPlay, cruise control, exterior and interior mirrors that automatically darken, rain sensor, multifunction steering wheel and heated seats, dual-zone climate control… and endless possibilities in the long list of options.
There are no surprises in the mechanical section, since behind the front seats, in a central position, is the 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine that delivers 300 hp (220 kW) of power, and 380 Nm, with which it can reach 275 km/h. It is associated with the six-speed manual gearbox and with it it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. If you choose the seven-speed PDK transmission, it completes that sprint in 4.7 seconds, but those four tenths represent a significant cost, since the price starts at 80,901 euros.
