For the fourth consecutive month, the sales figures are being slightly positive, although they still do not compensate for the falls of previous months, so that the accumulated since January 2022 continues to be 4.4% below the sales of 2021.
Though We have had good relative figures in terms of registrations for 4 consecutive months, they continue without compensating for the brutal falls of previous months, such as the one in March, with more than a 30% collapse. For this reason, although in November registrations have grown by 10.3% compared to last year, so far this year the Spanish market continues to fall by 4.4% compared to the first 11 months of the previous year.
Specifically, in November 77,221 vehicles were registered in Spain, which adds up to a total of 739,469 since January 1, and with barely a month to go before the end of the year, everything indicates that we will be far from the magic figure of one million enrolled units. If so far this year we continue to be 4.4% below the sales of 2021, compared to 2019, the last year before the pandemic, the drop is no less than 36%. It is expected to reach 820,000 registrations this year 2022figures that are similar to those of the 2008 crisis, an important step backwards.
The lack of components by the industry that forces a reduction in production and the availability of units in dealerships, the increase in the prices of the vehicles themselves and fuel, the complicated social and political situation in Europe with a war in its borders etc. are the main causes of this drop in registrations.
The average CO2 emissions of passenger cars sold in November remain at 120.4 grams of CO2 per kilometer traveled0.3% higher than the average emissions from new passenger cars sold in the same month of 2021. In the accumulated year, emissions have decreased by 3.3% compared to the same accumulated period of the previous year .
Sales to rental companies give a big boost to November registrations

Analyzing the data through the different purchase channels, rental companies have been a boost for sales by increasing no less than 79.7% in registrations in this month, with a total of 5,804 new vehicles.
Regarding sales to companies, these reached 31,641 units, with an increase of 10.1%while registrations in the private channel achieved a moderate growth of 3.9%, with a volume of 35,776 units.

If we look at registrations by type of vehicle, light commercial vehicles accumulate a total of 10,159 units. This represents a decline of 3% compared to last year. In the accumulated of the year there are a total of 107,322 sales, which represent a decrease of 23.9% compared to the previous year. By channels, only sales to companies managed to grow, with an increase of 13.7% and 7,490 units sold. For their part, both the self-employed and the renter suffered a decrease this month, with a decrease of 21.2% and 44.2%, respectively.
The registrations of industrial vehicles, buses, coaches and minibuses in November closed another positive month, with an increase in sales of 18.5% and a total of 2,705 registered units. For the accumulated of the year, are located in a total market of 23,662 new registrations, which represents an increase of 12.3%. By type of vehicle, industrial vehicles registered 2,527 units, with a growth of 24.1% in the month, while sales of buses, coaches and minibuses closed November with a decrease of 27.3% and 178 registrations.
