In favor of caring for the environment, efforts are being made through new technologies and advanced recycling processes. But Not everything needs to be so sophisticated, there are also simple ideas that allow you to make better use of resources and generate less waste.
This is what Subaru is doing, which began making reusable grocery bags out of leftover fabric that is normally thrown away at the airbag factory.

The airbags are made of a special fire-retardant and waterproof fabric, also designed to withstand the passage of decades. In addition, being made of a soft material, the bags can be folded into a very compact square and take up little space when not in use, making them perfect for having this second life.

Grocery bags (also known as tote bags) offered by Subaru are white with stripes in either Subaru’s signature blue or the signature pinkish red of the STI logo. This Subaru bag isn’t cheap and isn’t found everywhere, only selling in Japan for around 2,500 yen (almost $19). The idea is good, but the price is perhaps too much for a bag. Beyond that, It is certainly something that could be replicated by other manufacturers around the world.
