The Suzuki Jimny took longer to arrive than the aftermarket to do its thing to customize it. Several brands and an endless number of accessories are currently available to leave yours as far as your pocket really allows. At the same time, many tuners have also created their own components, in the case of ESB, from Osaka, Japan, who present two proposals for the charismatic all-rounder.
As is well known, the subject of tuning in Japan is a very particular thing, there are interesting things in terms of performance, but others that, visually, turn out to be true monstrosities (a matter of taste). Fortunately, ESB combines the Japanese style with a not so heavy design, but very functional for two different types of use: Suzuki Jimny LST and LST Up, who share the following exterior components:
- Redesigned grill with “bad boy”
- Alloy wheels in white finish
- Exposed Hardware Fender Extensions
- Rear spoiler and exhaust outlet.
Suzuki Jimny LST Up: The Alto
Despite looking practically the same, the Jimny LST Up stands out for its noticeably higher heightobviously designed for more off-road activities, and fenders that help wading, not to mention the all-terrain tires, among other components:
- +3 inch lift kit
- Maxis 245/70/R16 tires
- “Eyebrowed” fenders for rim travel
- Protective grids and lower skid plate.
Suzuki Jimny LST: The “short”
The proposal is completely opposite. The Jimny LST is so low that it couldn’t even remotely negotiate any steep gap. It shares many accessories with its “high” brother, however, it is wider and has a sportier approach, with another suspension configuration:
- Suspension kit adjustable from -1.6” to -3.5”
- Nankang slick tires 195/50R16
- side steps
- Rear fascia with lower diffuser.
Mechanically, both models remain intact, remember that in Mexico, the Suzuki Jimny is offered with a 1.5-liter engine of 102 hp and 96 lb-ft of torque, optionally mated to a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual, with 4×4 drive, but we’d love to have it paired with the 63-hp turbocharged three-cylinder engine also sold in Japan.
Meanwhile, you’ll have to shell out about $3,000 for the LST Up package and about $4,469 for the LST.
