According to this information, Tesla plans to distribute that production capacity of 4 million vehicles between various factories around the worldincluding more than a million vehicles from the upcoming Gigafactory in Mexico.
Tesla’s Hidden Goal: Becoming the People’s Car
Recently, a quirky-looking prototype compact Tesla vehicle has been spotted in China, and there has been speculation that it could be this new cheaper high volume car.
Currently, Tesla has a capacity of about 2 million vehicles a year and it is difficult to reach more than 3 million units with the current range of vehicles. With the arrival of the Cybertruck, the American company could reach 5 million total units, so Tesla will soon need cheaper and larger-volume vehicles to meet its manufacturing and sales expectations.
