TEST/1 Concept, an Italian model inspired by the Le Mans Hypercars

Just days after the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, the guys at Camal Stile, a design studio hailing from Torino, Italy, unveiled their latest project. Is about a concept model inspired by the basic architecture of a Hypercar such as those contending in the WEC and recently we were able to see it in the French joust.

According to its designers, the TEST/1 Concept (as it is called) would have the same dimensions as a Hypercar, however, that and the few aerodynamic shapes that it retains or resembles would be the only relationship. And it is that the Italians took advantage of the fact that the designs are not subject to any technical regulations to seriously let their imagination run wild.

So the first thing to say goodbye was the original motor legislation, which, as we know, requires hybrid mechanics with a power limited to 670 Hp. Instead, the guys from Camal Stile they placed a kerosene-fueled turbojet that could theoretically generate up to 5,000 Hp and a maximum speed of 450 km/h, a power figure that, in addition to being “insane”, would be impossible to keep at bay in competition.

Camal Stile affirms that despite its spectacularity, it is not the first time that a concept uses this mechanical formula. In fact, they were inspired by the FIAT Turbina, a test concept produced by FIAT in 1954 that, logically it was no more than an experiment. That model reached 295 Hp and reached a maximum speed of 250 km/h

What do you think of these types of concepts? Do you think they should go further than a sketch? Share your comments with us.
