What started as a concept that excited us with the return of a sports car with the MG logo, over time became reality and lately we could even see the vehicle being spied on in the testing phase. But now the wait is finally over, and using the context of the Shanghai Autoshow, MG finally introduced the Cyberster, its new electric roadster.
The MG Cyberster will have the Chinese market as its main objective, but It will also be available in Europe. And who says, maybe in other markets on this side of the Atlantic.
MG Cyberster, design

It is not necessary to scrutinize to realize that we are facing a sports car. Two-seater, convertible, with perfect proportions, everything leads us to think that it is a fast vehicle, and it seems that it is. Have large air intakes in front, 20-inch wheels, scissor-opening doors and lines that highlight a musculature that does not seem typical of an electric vehicle.
Pdoors inside we have space for two occupants, a curved digital panel, touch commands and a quite modern air. According to statements by Carl Gotham, Design Director of MG, The idea is to respect the sporting legacy of the brand in the design but embracing modernity, without falling into the temptation of the purely vintage.
MG Cyberster, its figures

MG did not give official information about its dimensions, but according to Chinese media, the MG Cyberster measures:
- 4.535mm long
- 1913mm wide
- 1,329mm
- 2,690mm between axles
- 1,850 kg of weight
It is true, weighing almost two tons does not sound very sporty, but remember that we are dealing with an electric vehicle that has to have batteries mounted. Fortunately, the Cyberster has enough power to guarantee a lot of fun, since It has two electric motors that drive the four wheels generating a total of 536 HP.
With that figure and its low center of gravity we can expect great performanceAlthough MG has not yet confirmed the performance figures regarding its acceleration, top speed or autonomy.
