One of the daughters of the French magnate bernard arnaultDelphine, has been appointed CEO of Christian Diorthe iconic fashion label and one of the flagships of his father’s luxury emporium, LVMH.
The company explained this Wednesday that Delphine Arnault, who has been deputy general director of Louis Vuitton since 2013, will replace Christian Dior Couture at the head of Pietro Beccariwhich in turn becomes the new director of Louis Vuitton.
These two appointments, which will be effective February 1 of this year, are “obvious signs of confidence and seek to maintain a balance between external personalities and members of the Arnault family”, according to what he told AFP Arnaud Cadart, portfolio manager at Flornoy.
For its part, the company has indicated in a statement that the appointment of Delphine Arnault, who is 47 years old, “marks the continuity of a journey of excellence in fashion and leather goodsfirst at Christian Dior for twelve years and then at Louis Vuitton in recent years where she was ‘number two’, in charge of all products”.
Regarding Pietro Beccari, the document classifies his work at the helm of Dior in the last five years as exceptional, for which the company is sure that it will propel Louis Vuitton to greater success.
The luxury group has also presented two other changes in their management teams. On the one hand, Charles Delapalme, who has been deputy general manager in charge of supervising the commercial activities of Christian Dior Couture since 2018, becomes deputy general manager of that brand. In turn, the CEO of watches and jewelry will also assume the responsibility of supervising the brands Tiffany and Repossiwhich are integrated into its business division.
