“The race? Well, we didn’t crash today…”

Fernando Alonso finished “happy”, as he himself said in words to ‘DAZN’, the Brazilian GP race. The reason, having finished fifth in a test in which he started 17th… and also another thing that he, without having to be asked anything, commissioned to confirm.

“The race? Good, good. Today we have not collided”, he said ironically in clear reference to his incidents with Esteban Ocon, its teammate at Alpine.

And he continued: “We kept the distance with the others... So in that sense I’m happy.”

Alonso made a clear analysis of how his career was in Brazil: “He went on the attack. We had freedom to be aggressive because we weren’t losing points to McLaren by leaving Norris.”

“In the end I’m going to take a good memory of Brazil”, Ferdinand insisted.

Fernando also confirms that he finished in a higher position than expected: “We had the forecast, optimistic, to finish seventh. It’s been 70 laps of the clock.”

“With the safety car there was a lot of action. A lot of emotion. I’m happy,” Alonso said.
