What if Red Bull and Max Verstappen didn’t exist? Fernando Alonso, the best of the rest in F1

the season 2023 have a own name and that is Red Bull. The Austrians have won absolutely all the races and, as if that were not enough, max verstappen has shown a single level in the competition, placing himself as the only candidate for the championship.

However, below Red Bull the battle is much closer and with the cars more evenly matched, the talent of the drivers is what puts them higher or lower in the table.

It is the case of Fernando Alonso and his Aston Martin. The Astrian pilot has already achieved six podiums in the first ten races and is placed in third position in the championship. However, if Red Bull did not exist and only those cars that can fight each other were taken into account, things change.

pulling out max verstappen already Sergio Perez from the equation, Fernando Alonso he would have, thanks to his performances, the three-time world championship with a stone’s throw. Beyond having already added his long-awaited victory number 33the Oviedo would be leader of the championship with 209 points.

In second position would be lewis hamilton with 171 points and, in third, Carlos Sainz with 125. Without a doubt we would find ourselves before a competition completely different in which things would be much more evened until the last race.

However, nothing is further from reality. max verstappen has already presented its firm candidacy for beat all the records possible in the Formula 1 and, given his level current and the benefits of his car, it does not seem that there is anyone capable of stopping him, at least for now.
