50 organizations were affected by cyber attacks in the United States. US President Donald Trump stated that China could be behind these cyber attacks.
50 companies "severely" affected
According to the BBC's report, Kevin Mandia, CEO of cybersecurity firm FireEye, announced that nearly thousands of organizations have this malicious code on their network. Referring to the attack that took place last weekend and affected 50 companies, Mandia said that more cyberattacks could be organized in the future. Despite President Trump's statements that it could be China, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in his statement that Russia was "quite clearly" behind the cyber attacks.
