The Tavascan that we saw for the first time in 2019 will finally be a reality next year… It comes with two versions of up to 340 CV and 550 km of autonomy. This is what we know.
We saw it in Frankfurt as a prototype more than three years ago and today we finally know how it will reach dealers in our country in just a few months. The Spanish sports brand has just shown in society the new cupra tavascan, which will be the second electric car in the recent history of the manufacturer from Martorell. We are talking about an SUV coupé with proportions similar to those of a Skoda Enyaq iV (in fact, it will share a multitude of components and the MEB platform with this) that will offer two versions: an access version with rear-wheel drive and 286 hp and another more powerful VZ with all-wheel drive and 340 hp. The latter promises a 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. Both will have a 77 kWh capacity battery with autonomy for about 550 km.

Without a doubt, the sections that will set the Cupra Tavascan apart from its main rivals will be the design and quality feel. Regarding the first, the future Cupra flagship debuts elements as attractive and characteristic as the illuminated logos, the 21-inch aerodynamic wheels or different parts made of carbon fiber.
In addition, no less suggestive are the semi-bucket type seats that we find inside or the enormous central piece that runs through the dashboard in the style of a spine and in which the 15 inch screenthe largest equipped in a Cupra to date.

The expectations that the Tavascan arouses are very high, since the firm itself classifies it as “the dream car”, in the words of its president, Wayne Griffiths. “Cupra is still a young brand. However, in just five years we have broken one record after another, thanks to our drive and determination. Since our launch, we have sold more than 300,000 cars and are the fastest growing brand in Europe. Today, the launch of the Tavascan is another dream come true,” says Griffiths.
Several data regarding its technical sheet remain to be known, but what is certain is that in 2024 it will be available in dealerships that Cupra already has throughout Europe to continue contributing to the excellent process of growth and consolidation that the company has been experiencing since practically its birth.
