Do they have as many problems in fast corners as they say?

Aston Martin’s performance has amazed everyone. The Silverstone team has starred an unprecedented feat in Formula 1 recent, going from having the penultimate team on the grid to being the second team, and all this, in a few months.

The AMR 23 has maintained a good performance in all the grand prix, with the exception of the eventful Gran Prmeio de España. However, the rival teams had the suspicion that the green car had a great weakness: fast corners.

Race after race, telemetry showed that the Aston Martin was the fastest car in braking, slow cornering and traction, even beating Red Bull. However, in the fast sections, they were pulverized by the energy drink team and overtaken by Mercedes.

But that not a problem for Aston Martinsince, according to its technical director, Dan Fallows, it is something that the team counts on and that they themselves cause.

“We saw that our car is strong in the slow cornersbut the truth is that when you have a car that excels in one area, the only way to get the most out of it is committing your config for the whole lap“, Fallows explained in statements to ‘Motorsport.com’.

“What we try to do is make as few compromises as possible. on tracks that are highly variable and, as we’ve seen at Red Bull, also take few risks with the high efficiency of the car,” Dan Fallows concluded.
