There are few models that have received more special editions than the Bentley Bentayga. It is normal, because we are talking about the first SUV of a luxury firm that already has several versions in its range and that is working quite well in the market. To raise the level of exclusivity and demonstrate what they are capable of doing at an artisanal level, those from Crewe launch specimens such as the Bentley Bentayga Odyssean Edition. Orders are now being accepted for this limited edition that focuses on sustainability, as they have done before with the Flying Spur.
For this reason, the Bentayga Hybrid is used as a base, the plug-in hybrid variant that is the most sustainable of the range. It achieves this thanks to a 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine linked to a 100 kW electric motor. In total, it offers a combined power of 462 hp and 400 Nm of torque, in addition to more than correct benefits. And with the 18 kWh battery, its electric autonomy has also improved to reach 45 kilometers, so the formula is quite complete.
The only thing missing was a different configuration that communed with that sought-after sustainability. That’s why the interior of the Bentley Bentayga Odyssean Edition uses environmentally friendly materials. The moldings made of open-pore Koa wood stand out, with 90% less lacquer than others (it only has three layers of 0.1 mm), or the Piano Linen moldings. There is also extensive use of sustainable natural leather and tweed panels made from 100% British wool.
We must add that it comes as standard comfort seats with electrical adjustment in 22 positions, heating and ventilation. All Touring-spec driver aids are not missing from this model, either. Along with those materials and comforts comes a unique three-color palette and an eye-catching exterior, too. The details are painted in Pale Brodgar contrasting and receive some exclusive 22-inch wheels.
As we said, the Bentley Bentayga Odyssean Edition is a special edition strictly limited to 70 copies. Orders are already being accepted from the month of November and the first units will begin to be manufactured during the first quarter of next year 2023.
