A Jaguar X-Type Estate, which belonged to Queen Elizabeth II of England and was one of her favorite cars, has just been sold at auction.
A few months ago Queen Elizabeth II of England died, a car-loving woman who used to drive her own vehicles sometimes. Now, we have just learned that one of his favorite cars, a Jaguar X-Type Estate, has just been sold at auction.
Throughout her life, Queen Elizabeth owned many cars, with Land Rover being her favorite make and Defender being her favorite model. Nevertheless, Jaguar was in the “top 3” of his ranking, being the Jaguar X-Type Estate his favorite from this company. In fact, earlier this year her Majesty was spotted riding one around her home in Frogmore Garden, adjacent to Windsor Castle.

It was not exactly the unit that has just been auctioned, because this specimen was sold in 2016 to a buyer who was unaware of its true history. Produced between 2004 and 2009, the X-Type Estate was not among the brand’s most desired models; however, it became one of Queen Elizabeth’s favorite cars.
The Jaguar that It has just been auctioned for 43,000 pounds (almost 50,000 euros) It was in very good condition with 116,748 km on the odometer. Its sale price far exceeds the value that any unit could acquire, which is being sold between 6,000 and 8,000 euros in the second-hand car market.

At the time of its launch, the X-Type Estate had two fuel options, petrol and diesel, with the former being the top-of-the-range version and the one driven by the Queen. I rode a 3.0-liter V6 engine, with 231 hp and 279 Nm of torque, which was sent to all wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. It reached 100 km/h from a standstill in 7.8 seconds, with a top speed of 232 km/h.
