Aston Martin has surprised everyone. And she has done it rightly. Because yes, everyone expected him to improve so much by signing Fernando Alonso as for the new names of their factory, but few or none counted on them going from being the penultimate team in the summer of 2022 to be the second in the spring of 2023. And that is something that has caused a reaction to Ferrari.
Already Carlos Sainz. Because neither the team nor the pilot are having the dream debut. Those of Maranello, with a car that suffers and not exactly a little in a long run; the man from Madrid, weighed down by that rhythm and by some decisions that are less debatable in relation to sanctions such as that of the Australian GP.
In total, the fourth team in the World Cup with Charles Leclerc adding a pair of zeros in three runs. And that is something that in Ferrari they know that it cannot be.
“It has not been an easy start”
It is something that Sainz knows he has to change: “We expected much more, after fighting for pole positions and victories last year”.
“It hasn’t been a start easy season”he said in an act of one of his advertisers.
And he continues, naming Aston Martin: “We have been surprised what they have improved. And also how fast Red Bull has gone.”
“You have to make an effort. Bring improvements to return to the podium and to fight to win. They are objectives that are clear,” insists.
Because he believes that this way they could get some victory: “We are going to have to improve a lot, but it does not mean that something cannot happen to them in a race. Both them and Aston Martin, and thus be able to sneak in first. For now we need help.”
Who would have thought it a season ago, when Ferrari was during not a few tests the best team on the track while Aston Martin fought with the Williams for not being the red lantern of the World Cup.
