Not too long ago the latest generation of the Maserati GranTurismo was presented. If the coupé stood out for something, it was for releasing a fully electric version baptized as “Folgore”. Although the Italian firm keep up the tradition and offers it in gasoline versions with a V6 engine. Precisely from one of them a special edition has come out, the Maserati GranTurismo Prima Series. It stands out for its specific configurations and for gaining exclusivity by being a limited edition.
Coinciding with the 75th anniversary From the first “gran turismo” that Maserati launched on the market, a copy arrives that wants to reach the hearts of some customers. The PrimaSeries is available in two flavors, although always using the base of the GranTurismo Trofeo, which is the top of the range. In the first we see the body painted in the color Nero Comet with contrasting mint green details. For the second one uses the Grigio Lamiera Matte with details in red. They all carry the anniversary logo on the rims.
for the inside it continues with that configuration of the exterior, in an equally expressive way. In any of the versions, a black-based leather upholstery is chosen, although the contrast will be the color of the body. Some sections of the seats and the dashboard are in gray leather on the gray model, while the stitching and logo on the headrests are in red or mint green. There is no lack of all the technology that the standard model brings.
And one of the most outstanding parts of the Maserati GranTurismo PrimaSerie is its mechanics. Mount under the hood the Nettuno engine, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 shared with the Maserati MC20 that leaves no one indifferent. In the Trophy, which is the one on which it is based, it has 557 hp and 650 Nm of torque to achieve acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. Of this Maserati GranTurismo PrimaSerie only 75 units will be made worldwide and, for the moment, the price it will have is unknown.
