Williams in danger of being Mercedes’ B-team?  “There will be collaboration, but…”



Williams has reassured his fans. The team, one of the most mythical in all of Formula 1 and one of those with the longest history on the current grid, denies the idea that is in the heads of many and many about whether the arrival of James Vowles, formerly of Mercedes, may cause the brand to be a ‘B-team’ from the German team.

so he said the new boss of the de Grove, after the departure of Jost Capito.

“My success depends on doing a great job here, and that has to be done independently of Mercedes”, has told the media.

And he insists: “Williams is a completely different organization. It all depends on me making the organization I’m in a success”.

“So no. There will be no ‘mini Mercedes’, nor is there going to be a Mercedes ‘B-team’. There will be collaboration, as there has been before, but what he does will be in the best interest of Williams,” explains Vowles.

Because for him what matters now is Williams: “When you put on this newly released shirt, This is where your loyalty lies.”

Williams has spent several seasons having The weakest car on the F1 grid and for this season they hope that they can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
