The Mexican Sergio Perezteam driver Red Bull Racingcanceled his media engagements in the Austrian Grand Prix this Thursday because he reported being sick.
“He felt unwell last night and is taking the day to rest and make sure he is in top health for this weekend’s race.” reported the Austrian team.

perez He is the closest rival of the Dutchman max verstappen in the fight for the title, but is still a considerable distance from 69 points behind his teammate, the double world champion, after eight races.
The Mexican driver needs a strong performance at Spielberg as he has failed to qualify in the top ten or get on the podium in the last three races.
The second sprint race of the season will take place this weekend and Pérez won the first in Azerbaijan in April, also taking victory in the Grand Prix on Sunday.
That race in Baku remains his most recent victory and he has only taken one podium since then, while Verstappen has won the last four races.
Friday will feature a single practice session and qualifying for Sunday’s race, while Saturday will be a day dedicated exclusively to the sprint race.
