Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2023 arrives in Mexico celebrating its Seventieth Anniversary

The Chevrolet Corvette always gives something to talk about, born in 1953 and since the first generation its bodywork has been made of alternative materials, in the 50s Chevrolet was the first manufacturer to use fiberglass in a mass-produced vehicle.


Eight generations have seen the light of day for 70 years, and today comes the extreme version called Z06.

The letter Z is in honor of Zora Arkus-Duntov who was the chief engineer in charge of equipping the Corvette C2, in a few words Zora Arkus-Duntov is to the Corvette what Carroll Shelby was to the Mustang.


The 2023 model mounts a new naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8, the most powerful GM has ever made for a production vehicle that delivers 680 Horsepower.

What is the secret?


The Flat Crankshaft has all the masses distributed in such a way that they allow it to “spin” faster and this LT6 V8 can spin up to 8,600 rpm and they also allow the engine to “breathe” better
