Not even cars are spared from vandalism by climate activists. On this occasion, the victim was Andy Warhol’s BMW M1 Art Car.

In recent times, climate activists are making the vandalize priceless works of art in museums throughout Europe with the aim of making visible their fight in favor of climate protection. The group is called Ultima Generazione (last generation) and they are vandalizing these works of art in an attempt to show that as a society we value the wrong things.

His latest victim touches the fans of four wheels: it is the BMW M1 Art Car, painted by Andy Warholwhich was recently covered in flour while on display in Milan, Italy.

Doesn’t appear to have permanent damage

the activists they managed to introduce eight kilos of flour into the museum and threw it on the M1 of Warhol. The objective was, apparently, not to cause permanent damage to the BMW and to denounce the fascination with cars, which continue to damage the environment with their polluting emissions.

«Our society is obsessed with objects, but he is not interested in protecting the future of his children. We cannot accept it! », He affirmed in a post on Twitter Ultima Generazione.

Its about third attack on high-value works of art in Europe in the last month. Until now, they had thrown soup on a Van Gogh in Rome and some kind of oily black liquid on a Gustav Klimt painting in Vienna, Austria.

Fortunately, none of the artwork was destroyed. Both the Van Gogh and the Klimt were covered by glass. In the case of Warhol’s BMW, it was just covered in flour, which apparently can be easily removed without damaging the paint that the American artist added to it.

Similarly, a few weeks ago several members of another climate activist organization, known as “Extinction Rebellion”, went to the Paris Motor Show and dumped a black liquid, believed to be oil or paint, on several Ferraris.
