Jeep calls for recall of 2018-2023 Gladiator and Wrangler models

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Jeep has made its knowledge of the failure that is presenting a clutch plate contained in the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator models manufactured between 2018 to 2023, part that, being subjected to a lot of pressure, could present overheating.


According to the report, said plate can become so hot that it would even cause the transmission to break, at which point the incandescent parts they could come into contact with the ignition system or fuel, and start a fire.



The brand reports that this problem began to be investigated at the end of last year, while in mid-January 2023, the cases of fire due to “defective assembly” increased on the mentioned models.


Until now, Jeep has registered 26 customer service cases worldwide and a total of 36 warranty entries Linked to this problem, however, the recall has been issued to all owners and customers who have purchased these models, who will begin to be contacted as of April 14.


SOn 55,082 Jeep Wrangler and 14,119 Jeep Gladiator models with this fault classified so far as an assembly problem.
