A Japanese billionaire has built a house for himself, called “El Circo”, with which to live with his Ferrari collection.
When money is not a concern a true car lover can achieve amazing things. We are not just talking about unique supercars or unrepeatable classics, but about the right place to shelter them.
This is the case of this vacation home in Chiba, Japan, designed by Hitoshi Saruta, from CUBO design architect. He draws attention for his design, with a 24-sided volume, which resembles a circus tentso its name “El Circo” seems the most appropriate.

Instead of the typical garage, the architect has chosen to unite people and cars in a unique environment and relaxed. Now they can “hang out with cars” and appreciate them while doing it.
He dome shaped space it allows all kinds of distributions that can be easily modified. A raised round table inhabits the center to create the second floor, while below forms a circular bar situation.
The main floor doubles as a garage and living space., with all functions aligned on the perimeter and central core. A staircase leads to the open, second floor, which houses the owner’s bedroom with Jacuzzi tub and waterfall shower.
The roof and structure give the impression of looking into a paper umbrella, a nod to Japanese design. In addition, it does not have support columns thanks to the sloped exterior walls that maintain the tension.
The perfect house for the car collector: 50 parking spaces and even a gas station
And who lives here? Well the identity of its lucky owner has been kept in the strictest confidencebut what we do know is that it shares space with two unrepeatable Ferrari 488s: a Pista Spider with a 720 hp V8 engine and a version of the 488 Challenge Evo.
“Unlike a typical home with a built-in garage, the goal in this project was to blur the boundaries between people, cars and rooms in a relaxed environment”, explains the architect.
