“I remember having a conversation with Fernando maybe two years ago. I wasn’t thinking of taking a break. But we were talking, I think on a flight somewhere, and he said rest for him. it was one of the best things he ever did“, he confesses.
“That got me thinking that maybe if I ever feel like I need him, that he doesn’t scare me too much. So I think, looking at the year he’s had, that too filled me with confidence“adds the one from AlphaTauri.
Now, ricciardo has returned to the ‘Great Circus’ with the objective of fighting for a seat of Red Bull for next year. For now, it has reached AlphaTauri replacing DeVries with the aim of surpassing Tsunoda race after race.
