Fernando Alonso Y Giancarlo Fisichella were the great partner of Renault. The one with the successes. The one with world titles. That of a two-time Asturian champion and an Italian who perfectly fulfilled the role of squire both for his partner and for the diamond mark. Now, in an interview with ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport, he has made heavenly music sound to the Spaniard in his ears.

“My strongest teammate? Fernando Alonso. Quick, very prepared… It never failed.” says the Italian.
And he tells how everything went in 2005: “I started winning in Australia. Then I had technical problems. I had to sacrifice myself for the team.”
