Ferrari outperforms Fiat, its parent company until a few years ago, and Stellantis, which is the conglomerate that now owns it, in market value.
The value of car brands is not directly related to their sales, and a clear example of this is the Italian supercar brand Ferrari, which has become the 8th most valuable automobile company in the world by market capitalization and its global sales can be considered ridiculous.
The most striking thing is that Ferrari, which manufactured less than 14,000 cars in 2022, has surpassed Stellantis, the conglomerate that includes 14 automobile companies, which produced some 8 million cars last year. Some of the most popular Stellantis brands are Alfa Romeo, Citroën, Jeep, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, Vauxhall and Fiat, among others.

According to a Bloomberg report, shares of the luxury automaker they’re up 34 percent this yearreaching a market value of 53,900 million dollars (49,747 million euros), while Stellantis is currently worth 51,480 million dollars (47,513 million euros).

According to experts, Ferrari is the best performing stock this year among European automakers and, despite the uncertainty about the existing economic conditions, it seems to have created a brand that is impervious to external factors.
According to this same report from the economic media, the American brand of electric vehicles Tesla is the most valuable car company by market capitalization. It is followed by Toyota, in second place, and Porsche, in third. Behind these three companies are “heavyweights” such as Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, BMW, BYD and the aforementioned Ferrari.
