After last September Formula 1 made the calendar for the 2023 season official, it only remained to know where the six ‘sprints’ would be held. This Wednesday the circuits have already been known: Azerbaijan (April 29), Austria (1st of July), Belgium (July 29), Qatar (October 7), USA (October 21) and Brazil (November 4th).
This format makes the classification moves to Fridays and the ‘sprint‘ which lasts 100 kilometers, the Saturday. The position in which each one finishes the ‘sprint’ will be their starting place for Sunday. The top eight score: whoever wins will add eight points and one will be subtracted until the eighth place.
The six circuits are characterized by being relatively easy to overtake, although the appearance of Azerbaijan sure does not like Max Verstappenwho stated that he does not like urban circuits.
Only Austria and Brazil repeat with respect to the year 2022. “The selection of 2023 took place after the investigation of the tracks most suitable for the formatincluding overtaking opportunities, close races and high-speed sections, and is designed to ensure competitive action on the track over all three days of selected Grand Prix weekends.” 1.
