We are not going to fool ourselves, everything indicates that Fernando Alonso shot a dart straight at Alpine in full presentation of new Aston Martin AMR23.
Analyzing the objectives of the British brand, he pointed out that “there will be no celebrations here until we win”then recalling his experience in the past in other teams.
“Everyone here is humble, but hungry for success even if they don’t have experience fighting for podiums or for victories and championships. But they trust themselves even if they haven’t done it yet,” he explained before dropping the ‘stick’.
“It’s very different to other teams I’ve been with, who maybe had success in the past and were in a comfortable position. If they finished fourth, they were happy to be fourth; if they were fifth, fifth was fine… it was celebrated to be seventh”, he added.
In fact, in exclusive statements to ‘Jugones’, Alonso assured that the main difference between Aston Martin and Alpine is the “ambition”that which he distilled in the presentation that one of his former teams was missing, surely the Frenchman.
