We recently announced that the Jaecoo brand was arriving in our country thanks to Omoda, and that the construction of the first agency in Mexico began. Well, now they give us another important news.
What’s happening?
The Chinese brand confirms the arrival of two SUVs, Jaecoo 7 and Jaecoo 9 to our country. The first would arrive in the middle of this 2023while the second in the last quarter of 2023.
Very little is known about both models, Chirey has not revealed much information. Below we reveal some information about 7, because we haven’t found anything about 9 yet. Just the pictures we were able to take of the model at the auto show.

Jaecoo 7: What we know
- This car is the first model of the Jaecoo brand, it is a subcompact SUV that due to its characteristics would compete directly against Seltos or Creta, for example.
- Regarding size, it is slightly larger than the Omoda 5, with a length of 4.5 m.
- In Mexico the combustion version will be marketed (but internationally there will be PHEV or EV variants).
- The combustion engine with which it would arrive would be a 1.6 L turbocharged four-cylinder, mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox dual clutch gearboxes.
