Ferrari has a division called Special Projects to create custom built unique supercars. From there came the SP48 Unica based on the F8, the track-only P80/C and now this: the KC23.
Based on the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo, the KC23 is an exclusive design project for circuits that anticipates the future of Ferrari street cars. There are glimpses of the Daytona SP3 in its multi-layered front end and flared rear wings, but overall, the KC23 is headed in a whole new direction.
The bonnet has been heavily sculpted with air intakes to direct air towards the top of the car, where there is a large glass area with no visible A-pillarsalthough the structure is fundamentally the same as the 488 GT3 with an integrated roll cage.

The side of the KC23 appears quite clear, with a mobile body panel which folds out to supply air to the centrally located 4-litre twin-turbo V8.
The Centro Stile Ferrari has worked to maintain the aerodynamic characteristics of the 488 GT3, hence the inclusion of a huge detachable rear wing. This works in tandem with a spoiler-shaped rear lighting strip and an underbody diffuser to generate enormous downforce, with movable aerodynamic devices behind the front wheels helping to achieve optimal aerodynamic balance.

The GT3’s fully adjustable suspension setup remains, though not it is known if the KC23 is more powerful than the base car.

The interior, accessed via butterfly doors, is largely the same as the race car, with a digital competition dashboard located behind an F1-style steering wheel.
