The Luvly O is a new Swedish electric microcar that will be sold by parts (like Ikea) and promises to become one of the cheapest.
Luvly is a start up Swedish company that wants to gain a foothold in urban mobility with its microcars and to do so has wanted to look in the mirror of another company in its country, Ikea, and its philosophy of building it yourself.
Proof of this is the Luvly O, the first model from this Stockholm-based company. It’s about a electric two-seater that weighs less than 400 kilos and measures no more than 2.70 m long and 1.53 wide, with a height of 1.44 m and a trunk capacity of 267 liters. It is clearly made for urbanites, not only because of its size but also because of its features, which are geared towards efficiency and ease of use rather than power.
90 km/h maximum speed and autonomy of 100 km

Luvly claims that his tiny electric only consumes 6 kWh every 100 kilometers, powered by two interchangeable battery modules, each weighing 15 kilograms. It’s the weight of a cabin suitcase, so it should be fairly easy to extract the packs and charge them at home if no other outlet is available.
Charged batteries allow a autonomy of up to 100 kilometers, according to Luvly. The maximum speed is 90 km/h, enough to drive through the city center or on secondary roads.
Regarding security, the Swedish company affirms that it will use a composite sandwich structure to form a safety shell with energy absorbing foam material. Luvly calls it “slow formula racing technology.”
Are cars without a license safe?
Designed by Joachim Nordwall, who previously worked for the Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg, the Luvly 0 has the peculiarity that it is sold disassembled. The microcar is shipped in parts, conveniently packaged, to avoid cutting costs. You do not have to worry about mounting it, because this will be done at the destination by the seller.
Thanks to that, The sale price is estimated to be around 10,000 eurosalthough it is still a project and this calculation is not final.
