D.from Cariló – The C5 Aircross was born with the double mission of, on the one hand, replacing the previous generation of the C5 sedan, as well as the well-remembered C4 Spacetourer minivans, under the proposal of an SUV as demanded by the market, but with the versatility and modularity that have always characterized Citroën products. With almost 6 years on the market globally, it could be said that it achieved its goal in a more than acceptable way, having sold more than 325,000 units. In order to remain a modern and competitive product, the double-chevron firm introduced its half-life update last year in Europe and it has just landed in our country, presented within the framework of the summer actions of the company belonging to Stellantis.

Thus, during the event to present its stand to the press, the brand launched the facelift of its C-SUV. In this regard, Federico Frascaroli, Brand Citroën Argentina, stated: «The Citroën C5 Aircross, recognized since its launch as the most comfortable and modular SUV in its category, debuts a new design to reaffirm its personality in a more modern and dynamic way. Confirming its strengths such as comfort, space on board and modularity, it gains maturity and offers more character thanks to a more structured exterior design and more modern and higher quality colors and materials in the interior.”
These are its main features:
The new:
It is the facelift of the C-SUV of the French brand that was presented at the beginning of last year in Europe and that introduces slight touches in the front sector to align it with the new Citroën design style along with more technology and equipment inside.

Aesthetically, the C5 Aircross received some specific touches that do not alter its design too much but are enough to give it a more modern and sophisticated image: in the front sector, it incorporated new headlights with a darkened mask and a light signature that extends towards the grille and forms a luck of X. The bumper was also completely redesigned, with a large trapezoidal air intake and two smaller ones at the ends, while the fog lights were relocated lower.
In profile, the only modification was the design of the tires, keeping the protections on the underbody, wheel arches and airbumps that are actually plastic skirtings instead of small air chambers. Finally, at the rear, the headlights now have a more three-dimensional format and a new light signature, also with a darkened mask. The bumper adds more plastic protections and a double simulated exhaust outlet.

The same recipe was applied inside, where there are no very profound changes either, but which are easily perceived. The main one is the redesign of the center console, now with a 10-inch touch screen for the floating tablet-type multimedia system along with new air vents located below and new commands for climate control. Special mention for the 100% digital instrumentation configurable by the driver, with a 12.3” display.
