ANDhe DS7 Crossback was presented in Europe in 2017 and then arrived in Argentina in December 2018, launching the electrified version in October 2021 as DS7 Crossback E-Tense. Now the new model sheds its surname Crossback, calling itself DS7.
It is the model of the brand with the most presence in our market, becoming the sales leader among premium brands in 2021 and 2022. The new SUV in the D segment looks renewed, combining luxury, refinement, elegance, sophistication and technology.

The DS 7 uses the EMP2 modular platform of the Stellantis group, shared with the Peugeot 3008, the Citroën C5 Aircross and the DS 9, being manufactured at the Sochaux (France) plant.
It received changes to its front and rear giving a new air to the French SUV. Undoubtedly its main highlight are the new DS PIXEL LED VISION 3.0 headlights that are combined with the DS LIGHT VEIL daytime running lights, which give it a more aggressive look and enhance the dynamism of the model.

But what are Ds LIGHT VEIL daytime running lights? It is made up of a daylight and four vertical lines of light made up of 33 LEDs. This innovation stems from the manufacturing process: the laser-etched polycarbonate surface is only painted on the inside to give it a look that alternates between light and body-colored parts. Creates an effect of depth and shine as if it were a jewel.
As far as the PIXEL function is concerned, it provides better lighting. The beam of light is more powerful, more regular, with a range that increases to 380 meters (main beam). At less than 50 km/h, the beam width is now 65 meters. On the inner side: two dipped beam/position light modules, illuminate together. On the outside, the PIXEL road light module features 84 LEDs in three rows. Cornering lighting is controlled by the intensity of the external LEDs of the PIXEL module according to the steering angle of the steering wheel.

The grille has been widened and has diamond-tipped details and has been finished with a completely redesigned skirt; while the side view remains intact, the most relevant novelty being its new 19-inch Edinburgh wheels fitted with 235/50/R19 size tires that not only give the new DS7 dynamism but also improve aerodynamic efficiency.

Finishing our tour in the rear we will find some thinner LED taillights darkened in the shape of scales giving a three-dimensional visual. The tailgate now has sharper lines and the Crossback badge has been replaced by the DS Automobiles name.
If we go inside we enter a comfortable, warm and luxurious environment, accompanied by a customizable ambient lighting system.

The star of the front panel is a high-resolution 12-inch touch screen that includes the infotainment system with DS Iris System that is supported by voice recognition, and from where you can access the navigation system, air conditioning, the digital audio sources and all trip data. It also allows you to view the front and rear, using the new high-resolution digital cameras and to access the Mirror Screen function via Wi-Fi.

This display is paired with a customizable digital instrument cluster that is also 12-inches in size.
Among the safety equipment, it also includes the classic provision of automatic emergency braking controlled by camera and radar and DS Drive Assist. It is a very useful adaptive cruise control on roads with many stops and starts that is capable of stopping the DS7 and resuming its march without driver intervention; also keeping the vehicle within the lane.

On the other hand, it is equipped with Driver Attention Monitoring, which monitors the driver’s attention with two cameras; one of them seeing the behavior of the vehicle and the other our expression and the movement of our eyes and eyelids through an infrared camera, detecting our fatigue. All this automatic emergency braking controlled by camera and radar.

In terms of equipment levels, they will be available in two versions: BASTILLE and RIVOLI and will be offered in a range of six colors: the new Laqué Gray and Sapphire Blue that complement the metallic Platinum Gray, as well as the pearly colors Pearl Black, Crystal Pearl and Pearly white.
The engine/box set will be given by the PureTech 4-cylinder turbo 1.6 gasoline engine with 215 hp and 300 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm, always with the fluidity of the 8-speed automatic transmission.
