Partial closure of the Mexico-Acapulco highway until further notice

What’s going on?

Maintenance work will be carried out on the road to this tourist spot, which will affect circulation.

Caminos y Puentes Federales (Capufe) reported on the closure of the Mexico-Acapulco highway for a period of approximately 20 days, for which it asked the population to take precautions.

The closure of this road occurs from Wednesday, May 17 and will be partially closed until June 7, 2023, from kilometer 95 to 178 in the direction of Acapulcofrom 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Why will the Mexico Acapulco highway be closed?

Capufe detailed through a statement that the section of this federal highway will be closed due to maintenance work being carried out on the central barrier.

“These tasks will cause the total closure of the high lane between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday,” Capufe explained.

Given this specification, the rest of the road will operate normally during these days of work that Capufe mentions, so there will be no problem in arriving at this paradisiacal place preferred by tourists from the Valley of Mexico due to its proximity, and in which on the weekend they decide to visit him.

“In the event of any eventuality, we make the service number 074 available to you,” Capufe details.
