max verstappen He will not have a path of roses that will lead him to win the three-time championship. He has come up with a tough rival, who to date competes with the same conditions as him, Sergio Perez.
The Mexican at 33 years old -yes, 33- has shown that he is not going to give any option to the Dutch. The proof that ‘Checo’ is going for everything was the message that he sent to the world of Formula 1.
“Having three children at home, I wouldn’t be traveling the world if I didn’t believe I could be a world champion.”he said on ‘Sky Sports’.
The Mexican pilot has had that dream since he arrived at the ‘Gran Circo’ in March 2011. He to date he has gotten six winstwo this course, and has been consecrated as an expert in urban circuits.
His performance in Baku was superb, and he didn’t slow down under Max’s push: “It was really important to be able to deliver when it mattered.”
This display of skill and resistance are enough assets to believe that he will win the World Cup: “I’m working for that, there’s a lot you can talk about outside the car, it is important to fulfill on the track“, said.
“There is a very high level of respect between me and Max.and the whole team, I mean the level at which we are driving, we are putting a lot of pressure on ourselves, obviously we want to beat each other, I want to win this championship as much as he does“, he added.
The competition will continue on Miami, where in 2022 he won Verstappen. The Mexican announced that he will continue with his plan “I don’t think Max and I are going to change, We’ll fight each other like we did and as hard as we can“First of all, ‘Checo’ Pérez stressed again that there will be “respect”.
