Update

Leclerc is first!

Again Leclerc…! What a crazy weekend that the Monegasque is doing. He has placed first ahead of the two Red Bulls.

Fernando Alonso, bad turn. The DRS does not work. He is ninth ahead of only Lando Norris.

Perez puts himself first!

Checo Pérez is placed first. Max Verstappen has not managed to improve his time. And Leclerc comes…!

SQ3 begins

SQ3 is already underway. Let’s see who takes pole position in the sprint!

Verstappen, the fastest

Max Verstappen has been first. They are followed by the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Fourth Sergio Pérez and fifth Fernando Alonso.

Eliminated SQ2

Eliminated in the second session: Piastri, Hulkenberg, Ocon, Magnussen and Sargeant.

Sainz has gone long

Carlos Sainz has gone long. Of course, he has avoided the wall. The Ferrari is in fifth gear. His partner, Charles Leclerc, second.

Alonso gets fourth

Fernando Alonso is placed fourth… but again the DRS has not been opened! It is a nightmare what is happening to the Aston Martin.

Hulkenberg, almost against the wall

Hulkenberg has avoided the accident by inches. He went straight ahead and was able to brake in time to avoid touching the wall.

SQ2 begins!

SQ2 is already underway. A ten minute session. All the drivers lined up to hit the track.

Leclerc is the fastest again

Charles Leclerc, the best time in this SQ1 again ahead of Max Verstappen. Lewis Hamilton has slipped in third position and fourth has been Carlos Sainz.

It should be noted that an Alpine has been left out in this first session. It is not being the weekend of Pierre Gasly.

Alonso has been sixth

Fernando Alonso has been sixth with his Aston Martin. It seems that on the last lap the DRS on his rear wing did open. Lance Stroll, eighth.

first eliminated

Drivers eliminated in SQ1: Zhou, Bottas, Tsunoda, Gasly and De Vries.

Sargeant accident!

Sargeant against the wall! Red flag! The session can now end with these results… and the Williams driver is in Q2.

Leclerc keeps flying

Great lap for Charles Leclerc, who continues to set the best times. He has snatched the first position from Max Verstappen. He is improving the track a lot and everything can change in two minutes left.

Does Alonso’s DRS work?

Both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll have gone through the straight with little top speed. It seems that the Aston Martin’s DRS is still not working at full capacity.

Sainz, the last to leave

Carlos Sainz was the last driver to go out on the track. There has been a yellow flag that they have not taught us. Someone must have been near the walls.

Twelve minutes of SQ1

It will be a first session of twelve minutes. Shorter than normal. Riders will only be able to put medium tyres. All the riders have been in a hurry to get out on the track. In nothing we are going to see the first times of the morning.

The sprint qualifying begins!

The Q1 of the sprint qualifying begins! Remember that it is a reduced format with respect to the classic classification. The tires also change: in Q1 and Q2 the drivers will put medium and in Q3, soft.

Red Bull warns about its rivals

The problem of Fernando Alonso

The sprint schedules

From 10.30 am the classification for the sprint begins. A format of Q1, Q2 and Q3 but with reduced duration.

The sprint will start at 3:30 p.m., with 30% of the laps of the race on Sunday being played.

Leclerc, the surprise of Friday

First of all, let’s remember what happened this Friday. The classification that orders the grid for Sunday’s race was held… and Charles Leclerc was the surprise! The Ferrari set the best time ahead of Max Verstappen.

Third was Checo Pérez and fourth Carlos Sainz. Fernando Alonso, with problems in his DRS, had to settle for sixth place.

Welcome to the Azerbaijan GP!

Good morning! Welcome everyone to the Formula 1 show! We couldn’t wait for the competition to return and it returns in Baku. Also with the first sprint race to be held this Saturday. Before we will have the classification. A Saturday of many emotions!
