Renault Kangoo Combi | Video review

Many car lovers were not very fond of minivans, taller cars and, except for some models, not very exciting to drive. They are not cars for that, their virtues are others: space, practicality and an enormous load capacity. Like the Renault Kangoo Combi.

Do not ask for dynamism, because it seeks ride comfort and only in very large bumps do you notice the rear axle more rigid than usual. But when you drive it, it doesn’t remind you of a classic delivery van either… nor does the aesthetic, quite careful. Its interior goes beyond placing a rear bench and some windows, with good standard equipment. With the intermediate diesel engine it moves quite well, but perhaps if you often use it loaded on long, heavily loaded trips, it’s time to think about the most powerful diesel, as we said in our in-depth test:

buts? Well, we have just told you the first, those 95 CV of power in the Kangoo can be scarce at times. The infotainment system did not convince us much either, although with your mobile, Apple Carplay or Android Auto, problem solved. Finally, the starting price is somewhat expensive (from €28,100 at the time of our test). Of course, at least betting on having a very well equipped unit does not mean spending a month’s salary on it.

Let’s put those 28,100 euros in value. And it is that a Volkswagen Caddy is more expensive, as is the case with the Mercedes Citan Tourer or the T-Class. The Nissan Townstar can only be chosen with gasoline engines, a detail that will not convince the most ruteros. And let’s see what happens with the Stellantis amalgamation, very focused on commercial variants as they continue to have production problems.
