ANDhe Renault Summer Experience is a complete success and the French brand decided to take advantage of its stand in Cariló to launch a new update to the Koleos, in this case the MY2023 specification that comes with small cosmetic changes and more comfort equipment, keeping the well-known gasoline engine intact. 2.5 with automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.

The new:
It is the Model Year 2023 specification of the French brand’s SUV, with subtle aesthetic tweaks and equipment improvements: on the outside it debuts a new design for the 18″ alloy wheels and adds the Bordeaux Red color, while inside it adds seats front with massager and hands-free trunk opening system with movement sensor.
The rest of its features are identical to the 2022 update, when it incorporated a major redesign. Since that facelift, the main modifications can be seen in the front sector with tweaks to the grill and bumper, with new frames for the fog lights -with cornering light function- and a chrome appliqué that covers the headlights -full Led- and the lights of daytime circulation, while in the rear the bumper adds a gray appliqué with chrome details that gives it more elegance.
Inside doors, from MY2022, it incorporated an 8.7” touch screen of the multimedia system located in a vertical position, with multiple customization options and wood-like details.

Since its previous update, the Koleos has only been marketed in a single version –Intens 4WD (top of the range)-.

The Intens version has an R-Link 2.0 multimedia system with an 8.7” tablet-type touch screen, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, with Eco-Drive, Eco Coaching and Eco Scoring function, 4 USB/Aux ports, Bluetooth, browser and rear parking camera, front seats with massager and electric adjustment, central armrest with sliding console and refrigerated cup holders, multifunction steering wheel and leather-wrapped gear lever, dual-zone automatic climate control with air outlet in the rear seats, cruise control and speed limiter, 12V socket, heated electric mirrors, front and rear electric windows (with OneTouch for the driver), twilight and rain sensor, rear parking sensors, key card, Keyless Start button and 17-inch alloy wheels inches, adjustable Led ambient lighting (5 colors available), leather upholstery, wood-like sconces, sun visors with mirror and light rear seat with Easy Touch Folding (60/40 folding), electrochromic rearview mirror, electric parking brake, electric panoramic roof, 360º parking sensor Easy Park 4-way assisted parking system (parallel, perpendicular, diagonal and parallel exit), hands-free trunk release (with motion sensor under the bumper), Bose audio equipment with amplifier, 4 speakers, 4 tweeters, 2 surround speakers, subwoofer and center speaker, 18” two-tone alloy wheels and headlights full LED headlights.
Safety equipment:
Without changes in this aspect, it has 6 airbags (front, side and curtain), brakes with ABS, EBD (electronic brake distribution) and AFU (emergency braking assistance), stability control (ESP), point alert blind, hill start assistant, Isofix anchors, three-point inertial seat belts with pretensioners and effort limiter, head restraints in the 5 seats, unfastened seat belt warning (front), front and rear fog lights and third light LED stop. It still owes driving assistance systems.
Mechanics:
The well-known 2.5-liter gasoline engine of Nissan origin is maintained, which develops 170 CV at 6,000 rpm and 233 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is associated solely with an automatic transmission X-Tronic CVT with simulated 7 speeds and sequential option. In addition, it has the Eco-Mode function that allows consumption to be reduced by up to 10%, according to official information.
Since last year, it has only been marketed in the Intens 4WD version, equipped with an all-wheel drive system configurable by the driver in three modes (2WD: front-wheel drive; 4WD Auto: engages four-wheel drive automatically according to driving conditions; and 4WD Lock: maintains four-wheel drive for off-road driving or on low-adhesion terrain, distributing torque 50/50 on both axes).
