The DGT campaign to monitor works on interurban roads offers a dangerous conclusion: we do not respect speed with works.
The drivers We are not at all respectful of the rules established in the sections of works that we meet on the roads. This is the main conclusion of the first surveillance and control campaign in the works on interurban roads carried out by the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) a little over a month ago.
Between September 24 and 30, this public body launched a control campaign on this type of section and the results are clearly improvable. 436 drivers were sanctioned for exceeding the specific speed in the sections of works and 242 were penalized for not respecting the signals, both traffic agents and construction workers, vertical signs, road markings, traffic lights, cones or light beacons or any other type of specific signaling.
