Suzuki was not going to be absent from the Auto Expo 2023which is something like the Salón de India, carried out on the outskirts of Delhi. And it is that the Japanese firm has an important model to announce.
It is the first fully electric SUV born from the brand’s global electrification strategy. Its market launch is scheduled for the year 2025.
The exterior is designed to be instantly recognizable as an SUV from suzuki, although with very modern touches, including the already very popular LED lights that run the width of the tailgate or the sealed tires to signal a more aerodynamic and efficient proposal. In front we have a blind grill, but with an X-shaped mask and a backlit logo.
It has a length of 4.3 meters, a width of 1.8 meters and a height of 1.6 meters, which puts it in segment B. For reference, it is almost the same size as a S-Cross.
Suzuki has not wanted to say much about its powertrainalthough it is expected that all components are developed by Toyota. What they do want is that the eVX is powered by a 60 kWh battery and that it can reach a range of 550 kilometers in the MIDC cycle (Indian measurements).
Taking advantage of a press conference at the Auto Expo 2023, the President of Suzuki has declared: “I am delighted to introduce the eVX, our first electric model in our global strategy. Fighting global warming is a priority at the Suzuki Group. We are promoting a series of measures globally to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Suzuki will continue to offer useful products for our customers around the world, capable of adapting to the way they live and drive.”
