Pioneer of the so-called “ultra bikes”, the Suzuki Hayabusa celebrates 25 years of life, and the brand wants to celebrate it in a big way with the launch of a special 25th Anniversary edition, which will be available in many international markets.
It was in 1998 when, At the German Intermoto Show, Suzuki introduced the GSX-1300R Hayabusa, beginning its commercialization a year later. It was a spectacular machine with very aggressive shapes, striking colors and incredible performance, as it exceeded 300 km/h and inaugurated the “ultra bike” segment.

For many specialists, this “Ultimate Sport” concept that combines high power with great handling, together with its unique and aerodynamic styling, has been key to the success of the Hayabusa.
The second generation of the Hayabusa was launched in 2007, increasing the displacement from 1,299 to 1,340 cc. and incorporating the Suzuki driving mode selector (SDMS), which allowed the customer to customize the mechanical response according to their tastes and needs. In 2021 the third generation was presented, with an improved engine and chassis, and the incorporation of technologies such as the SIRS (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System) electronic control system, traction control or quick and bidirectional gear change.

Since its introduction 25 years ago, more than 200,000 units have been sold, which brings us back to the 25th Anniversary gift edition, which has a series of details that make it unique and special. On a chromatic base in orange and black, Suzuki incorporated an anniversary plate in different places on the bike, some very visible, such as the fuel tank and engraving on the exhaust pipe, and others more subtle.

It has a black trim that surrounds the huge and characteristic side air vents, the special ‘V’-shaped decoration on both sides of the fairing and the tail, the single-seater seat and the golden finials that we find inside the front brake disc and on the chain tensioner -in one of whose links the Japanese “Kanji” characters are ‘hidden’-.
