New cars are still expensive. But beware, in June they chain the third consecutive month with drops in average prices, as we told you in our last monthly price report. After conscientiously analyzing thousands of specific offers at official dealerships, the evolution is positive.
The problems of stockouts and factory stoppages are almost solved. Not entirely, because the director of a Spanish factory told us that “something remains”, but if 200 semiconductors were missing before, now 10 are missing.
We are far from seeing demolition discounts, but tenth by tenth it seems that the discounts are already better. If last month the average difference between the price announced by the brand and the one requested by the dealer was 8.94%, this month it reaches 9.07%. Far from the double digits of yesteryear, but growing. As usual, there are huge differences between segments:

This study is carried out based on thousands of specific offers at a specific moment. You should contact the dealership that makes it for receive more information, since they may include some clauses (or have already sold the car to which the offer in question corresponds). Microurban. Average discount: 6.3%
Discounts on small cars lose a tenth. Be careful, this month the Fiat Panda is the model with the best discounts, surpassing the Mitsubishi Space Star as the most discounted model, ahead of the Kia Picanto and the Hyundai i10.

Microurban cabrio. Average discount: 4.8%
Discounts in this category in June lose half a point, but the Fiat 500C with a hybrid or electric motor continues as the most discounted model, followed by the Abarth 595C (a 100% electric version is now available) and the smart fortwo Cabrio.
utilities. Average discount: 8.6%
In June the discounts in this category worsened by three tenths. Despite this, the Opel Corsa with a 1.2 gasoline engine continues to be the most discounted model (it has been the most discounted for seven months now). Good discounts also on some versions of the Citroën C3 and the MINI (rare in these listings.

small SUVs. Average discount: 7.9%
Discounts in this fashionable category earn three tenths. And change in the most discounted model, which this month is the MINI Countryman, ahead of the Suzuki Vitara and the Opel Crossland. For very little the Kia Stonic is left out.

compact. Average discount: 8.4%
They win another tenth (last month there had been two) the average discounts of this popular category. There is exchange in the first positions. Now the Skoda Scala is the most discounted model, ahead of the Kia Ceed. The Hyundai i30 completes the podium, ahead of the Peugeot 308.

compact sedans. Average discount: 7.9%
Identical discounts in this segment, where there is not a single change. The Hyundai i30 Fastback follows the model with the best discounts, ahead of the Toyota Corolla Sedan and the Skoda Octavia at a greater distance.

compact coupes. Average discount: 4.3%
The average discounts are seven tenths worse compared to those we saw in April. The first positions in a category with very few members do not vary. The BMW 2 Series Coupé is the most discounted model, ahead of the Toyota GT 86 and the Audi TT (still with a version for sale).

Family compacts: Average discount: 10.4%
Discounts go up a tenth and follow the Suzuki Swace as with further discounts, with an interesting hybrid propulsion system. The second position is also equal, occupied by the Kia Ceed Tourer (with the 1.0 T-GDI gasoline engine or the 1.6 diesel) who occupies the second position. The Ford Focus Sportbreak reached third position on the podium, beating the Peugeot 308 SW.

Convertible compacts. Average discount: 4.5%
Great drop in discounts in this segment, where there are almost no representatives left. In May the discounts of the BMW Z4 exceed those of the Mazda MX-5 (see test), which continues to be the access cabrio par excellence.

Compact MPVs: Average discount: 11.9%
Discounts for this type of vehicle improve by one tenth in June. Of course, there are hardly any changes. Toyota Proace City follows, ahead of the Peugeot Rifter and the Ford Tourneo Connect.

compact SUVs. Average discount: 7.8%
Average discounts earn four tenths. This month the Suzuki S-Cross exceeds the discounts of the Ford Kuga (model with the highest percentage reduction in the previous two months). The MG HS completes the podium and the Kia Xceed is very close.

Medium sedans. Average discount: 7.7%
The discounts in this segment drop by a tenth from those of last month and the Citroën C5 X follows as the most discounted model, but beware that the Alfa Romeo Giulia continues with quite attractive offers if you are looking for something more sporty. In June the Peugeot 508 (already renewed) is again ahead of the Volkswagen Arteon.

Average family cars. Average discount: 8.6%
The average discounts are three tenths worse compared to those we saw in May. And change in the first positions. The Peugeot 508 SW returns to the first position, ahead of the Volkswagen Arteon Shooting Break and the Volkswagen Passat Variant.

Midsize Coupes: Median Discount: 4.7%
The discounts in this category worsen… where we found few changes in June. The BMW 4 Series continues ahead of the Toyota Supra, the Mercedes C-Class Coupé and, further behind, the Audi A5.

Midsize convertibles: Average discount: 4.6%
Discounts worse than those of May in these cars. The BMW 4 Series Convertible continues as the model with the highest dealer discounts, ahead of the Mercedes C-Class Convertible and the Audi A5 Convertible.

Large minivans. Average discount: 8.9%
The discounts fall three tenths this month and the Toyota Proace Verso is the most discounted model, after which we find the Opel Zafira Life and the Peugeot Traveler (they exchange positions in June). Much further away, the Renault Trafic Combi.

The discounts in June gain two tenths and the renewed Alfa Romeo Stelvio is the most discounted car, ahead this month of the Ford Mustang Mach-E and the Audi Q5, a model that is rarely seen in these lists.

Discounts win a tenth and the Volvo S90 continues as the most discounted model (fourth consecutive month on the podium). They are followed by the reductions of the BMW 5 Series, more generous than those of the Lexus ES.

They improve two tenths) the discounts of these bodies in June. There are no changes, as the BMW 5 Series Touring continues with discounts (with a diesel engine or plug-in hybrid) beating the Volvo V90 or the Mercedes E-Class Estate. Outside the podium is the Audi A6 Avant.
