Everything seemed to indicate that the production version of the Airflow would be the model called to lead the resurgence of Chrysler. However, according to information collected by colleagues from Motor Trend this will not be the case.
And it is that everything indicates that the Chrysler Airflow Concept, initially presented in 2020 and updated until 2022 with the Graphitehas been discarded, and the brand has decided to take a completely different path for what would be its first fully electric model.
The Chrysler Airfow, as we know it, is dead. This has been confirmed by Ralph Gilles, Stellantis Design Director, who noted that Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell made the decision to take a completely different path. “She wanted a statement that literally had nothing to do with anything you’ve seen today, even the Airflow concept car. She is evolving in a new direction.”he pointed.

However, it has been Gilles himself, who also indicated that this new change goes a step beyond the originally proposed idea and warns that the new design has been very enthusiastic. So the mood within the company is quite positive.
Chrysler’s first electric car will be presented in 2025 and will be based on the STLA Large platform of Stellantis. Just for clarification, the Airflow name will not be used on the production vehicle.
“There are a group of people who love the name Airflow and many others who beg us not to use it”said Christine Feuell, who also clarified that she is currently working with the marketing team to find the ideal name.
